Twin Falls, Idaho is a city with a rich and captivating political history. Located in Twin Falls County, the city has seen its share of highs and lows in terms of political representation. In the last presidential election, 25.7% of the population voted for Democrats, 70.9% voted for the Republican Party, and the remaining 3.4% voted for Independents, making Twin Falls County a majority Republican area. The city is home to the College of Southern Idaho (CSI), a large community college located in the northwestern part of the city.

In 1909, the privately owned Twin Falls Land and Water Company was reorganized to become the Twin Falls Canal Company, owned by its shareholders. By 1960, Twin Falls had become one of the largest cities in Idaho.
